Mission
The Simmons LaCrosse Foundation is a philanthropic, not-for-profit 501c3 association, primarily funding the Wisdom House of Fayetteville, NY. It will help foster an ongoing relationship between former players, alumni, family and friends of Syracuse LaCrosse. We will reach out to all to encourage the continued success and support of the programs. While educating and preserving the Simmons family legacy and their contribution and dedication to the University, the Mens Lacrosse Program and the sport of lacrosse.
History
The primary method of fundraising for the Simmons LaCrosse Foundation has been the very prominent Lake Placid Lacrosse Tournament. Last summer, sponsored by The Burnt Orange Lacrosse Team, we held a very successful silent auction to benefit the Wisdom House. It continues to be one of the biggest men’s and women’s lacrosse events in the northeast each year.
We will attend again this summer with another auction, adding a vendors booth offering
apparel, artwork and memorabilia.

A Warm Thanks from the Wisdom House
Dear Chris,
Please convey our greetings and gratitude to all the guys. I trust you are taking good care of Coach.
First of all, please know that the $5,000 raised in the spring is much appreciated and going to good use. In are in the midst of equipping our new art room for the kids and buying some supplies for their programs. We have a new basketball hoop set up and are intent on putting down a new surface in the driveway smoother dribbling! We’re still looking forward to fencing in the yard.
Second, I want to convey to all the guys that the spirit of the Nancy Simmons Wisdom House is alive and growing. Besides all the work we are doing with the kids (including hiring a part-time staff member to work with our older youth), we are planning new programs of interfaith dialogue and spiritual exploration. We are creating a space of inquiry and dialogue among all the spiritual traditions, and our programs are open to all who desire to grow spiritually. That direction—that is, spiritual engagement that is both deep and broad—speaks to Nancy's legacy and her continued spirit among us.
Thank you again for helping us make this dream become a reality.
With best wishes for a safe and wonderful weekend,
(The Rev.) Bill Redfield
